My Counseling Style – Helping you live a courageous and authentic story.

I believe every person’s life is a story worth telling and understanding. In our work together, I use narrative therapy to help you explore your story—where you’ve come from, where you are now, and where you’d like to go. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for treating anxiety and depression. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck or weighed down by their past, and together we’ve worked to bring healing, fresh perspective, and hope for the future. I have training in Gottman Couples Counseling and Emotionally Focused Therapy, which allows me to help couples strengthen their connection and navigate challenges with grace and understanding.

With over 20 years of experience in counseling and sleep medicine, I bring both professional expertise and life experience into my work. I’ve been married for more than 31 years and am a proud father of three adult children, which gives me a personal appreciation for the joys and challenges of family life. My heart is to create a safe, encouraging space where you can discover more of who you are, grow in confidence, and thrive in your relationships, career, and personal life.

Individual Counseling

I provide one-on-one counseling to help you manage life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience.

  • Anxiety, depression, and stress
  • Insomnia and sleep disorders (drawing from 17 years in sleep medicine)
  • Life transitions, identity, and purpose
  • Faith and spirituality integration (for those who want this included)

Through a narrative approach, we’ll explore your story—past, present, and future—so you can heal from old wounds, develop healthier habits, and live with greater freedom and authenticity.

Couples Counseling

Healthy marriages and relationships are at the heart of a fulfilling life. I use Gottman-informed therapy and draw from my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and deepen intimacy.

  • Improve communication and resolve conflict
  • Rebuild trust after betrayal or disconnection
  • Strengthen emotional and spiritual connection
  • Prepare for marriage or major life changes

Whether you’re newly married, raising kids, or navigating decades together, couples counseling can help you feel seen, supported, and connected again.

Coaching & Groups

Not everyone needs formal therapy. Coaching and group programs provide encouragement, accountability, and structure for growth.

  • Online Coaching: One-on-one coaching for emotional, relational, and physical health.
  • Group Coaching: 6–8 week programs focused on habits, sleep, anxiety, and emotional resilience.
  • Mastermind Groups: Small, supportive communities for growth, purpose, and long-term change.
  • Clinical Supervision: For counseling students and early-career therapists, blending clinical skill-building with support for professional identity, spirituality, and confidence.

Coaching and groups are a great option if you want practical tools, peer support, and guidance on living with more courage and clarity.
